Other Accounts: Silverthorn, Graypaw
Name: Coldfoot
Age (in moons): 47 (three years and eleven months)
Clan: WindClan
Rank: Deputy
Gender: Tom
Appearance:
-Fur-
His base color is white, though there is some contradiction with the amount of black on his pelt. The bridge of his nose is black, but between his black forehead and the bridge of his nose a white streak that is the form of a zigzag. His left hind leg thigh is white but from the heel to the beginning of his paw is a black lining, with some specks of white. Both of his cheeks are white, his jaw is black, going down to the right side of his neck and ending far before the end of the neck. Both of his ears are black, just like the most of his head. From the most part of his forearms to almost the whole of his back is black, which leads down his tail, which ends with a white tip, with a few flecks. His right hind leg heel is black, alike with most of the thigh. The underbelly is white, though with some black markings here and there. Like some WindClan cats, he has rough fur, an adaption to living on the weathering moors.
-Eyes-
Basic yellow eyes, but underneath is small sliver of silver. When the sun shines down into them, you're able to see a hint of silver, but it makes his eyes a pale golden color instead of the silver showing completely through. His pupils are slits, like most feral cats. With his eyes wide open, his eyes aren't as large as others, and are a little shrunken in, due to always being out in the open.
-Build-
Like almost all WindClan cats ever to roam the moors, he is lean and muscular. His is gentle when practicing with apprentices and kits, but in a battle, his full strength could be a challenge for any cat. He has average sized paws, as well as ears. His tail is rather thick, but not from fur. He has wide face, one of which is common, but it is not pushed inward, nor outward. He is extremely flexible, which helps in battle when he combines it with his strength.
-Other-
His has long, thick black claws, which can tear open flesh. Even for their size, they retract completely and do so without any harm. He has a black nose, slightly large for his cheeks and jaw. His whiskers are nice and long, perfect for telling the direction of the wind for hunting on the moors.
-Short Description-
Black and white tom
Personality:
-Kits-
Coldfoot is rather playful with kits, joining them in a few games. He will risk his life to protect them, since they are, after all, the future of the clan. Although the can commonly annoy the tom, he is kind and helpful to them. When he hears the queens telling them stories, Coldfoot is common to join in in to bring the stories to life--if he ever has the free time.
-Apprentices-
Always making sure they do what they've been assigned, Coldfoot is good around apprentices. He treats them with a little respect, but doesn't plan to make their chores easier. He is a mentor who often makes them tend to the elders for their first moon, rarely taking them out. Once they mature, Coldfoot is almost always out teaching them something new, rarely seen in camp around sunhigh until he has a patrol. He is a strong supporter of have a strong bond with his apprentices, and makes sure that they will be great warriors.
-Warriors-
Brave cats are always appreciated by Coldfoot. He never sees them as "lower" in rank, but as his companions who are brave and would help him defend their clan. He enjoys talking with them and doesn't make them believe he's better than them. He tries to make every warrior seem important by having them go on patrols or help out around the camp. Coldfoot does, however, make sure they know that he is the deputy and they are not.
-Medicine Cats-
To Coldfoot, medicine cats are very important. They can heal cats and their relationship with StarClan baffles him. Some may say they are just medicine cats, warriors are more important, Coldfoot is one to contradict. They are warriors of their own kind, and are not just weak cats (Grr, Metalpaw).
-Leaders-
They are the brave and noble leader of their clan. They lead them to greatness (or infamy) and have to handle the pressures of battle, punishments, disloyalty, and much more. Coldfoot knows he is as prepared as he'd ever be to be a leader, but the idea of taking on more responsibility is a little overwhelming. He admires how some can be so calm in hard situations, and will always defend his when needed.
-Cats Of Other Clans-
In Coldfoot's opinion, they're all evil, untrustworthy fox-dung. He acts arrogant--never ignorant--around them, always flexing his long claws and tensing his large muscles. He stands up higher, his chin held high to say that he's better then them. He has a low tolerance level with them and will attack if he finds a warrior or an apprentice on WindClan territory (only if they don't immediately go back to their territory, though; he won't attack without reason). He knows that they think WindClan is the weakest clan, but he is always trying to prove to them that WindClan is the strongest.
-Cats Of No Clans-
Coldfoot says they are nothing but pests. Kittypets are pathetic excuses for cats in his eyes. He thinks that loners are cats who don't have what it takes to be a warrior or a rogue, but want some respect and not take the easy route of a kittypet. Both are despicable. Rogues are annoying cats that want attention, but don't want to join a clan. Coldfoot finds them too ignorant for their own good.
-Overall Personality-
Coldfoot is generally loyal and would do anything for his clan and friends. He's a little unsure about the warrior code, or he's had little experience enforcing it or breaking it. He focuses mainly on what's right and moral. The part that he will support without any hesitation is section explaining that inter-clan relationships are wrong. He isn't self-conscious or really arrogant (save around other clans), but instead quite comfortable with himself, yet knowing that he, like everyone else, is flawed. He is common with respect for himself, elders, and others, but decides how much of it he gives by how much he receives.
History: Coldfoot was born in WindClan to Charredtail (mother) and Sunstep (father) along with one brother: Ashkit. Sunstep was a loyal warrior while Charredtail was often questioned about her faithfulness to WindClan, considering her first love was from another clan. When he died, Charredtail mated with Sunstep, who was her best friend since their kithood.
As a kit, Coldfoot was a trouble maker. He would often sneak out of the nursery and head off onto the moors, where he was soon found by Sunstep every time (he never made it far from camp). Coldkit once got Ashkit in trouble by daring him to steal some herbs from the medicine cat. It turned out to be yarrow and Ashkit spent a quarter-moon in the medicine cat's den and got chewed out by Sunstep.
Their mother had hardly anything to do with the two kits. She'd nurse them and that was about it. She was rarely ever in the nursery and most of the time, other queens would have to nurse Coldkit and Ashkit. When the queens left and Charredtail kept forgetting to take care of the two kits, Ashkit died. The whole of WindClan felt guilty for they should have taken care of the kits. Sunstep was crushed with the news, for he really did love his sons.
Coldkit, for the first time ever, felt alone. Sunstep was always busy with warrior duties and Charredtail was never around, and when his only companion died, he had no one to talk to. Since Ashkit had died, though, previous queens took care of Coldkit. Once he was winged off of milk, he became stronger and his life changed for the better.
Once Coldkit became Coldpaw, he was given the mentor Fiercehook, a strong and admirable warrior. For two whole moons, Coldpaw did nothing but tend to the elders. He took them only food from the fresh-kill pile, never food he hunted. He was eight moons old and hadn't been out of the camp since he was four moons old. He hated it and at the time, hated his mentor. He complained to other apprentices of his unfair tasking, but they'd wouldn't teach him anything they were learning.
Then one day, when Coldpaw was listening to the elders talk about their "heroic past", Fiercehook took Coldpaw out of camp for his first hunting lesson. Coldpaw learned quickly in all of training sessions, much quicker than the other apprentices did. A few of the tips the elders gave him helped him, too. Coldpaw was enthralled with the reason behind Fiercehook's odd training method (which was "responsibility before ability") and thanked him often. The experience stuck with him
While out training, Fiercehook and Coldpaw found Charredtail at the border between WindClan and RiverClan, looking down at the gorge. Confused, Coldpaw walked up to her and asked her what she was doing, but she was startled and fell into the river and drowned. Coldpaw was devastated and blamed himself for it. Fiercehook didn't stop with Coldpaw's training, but did talk to Coldpaw about his mother. He explained that she wasn't a good mom and was already mentally dead.
Coldpaw soon completed his training and became the warrior Coldfoot, and at his warrior ceremony, Fiercehook retired and became an elder. Coldfoot visited him often, talking to him about the newest adventures of his. The two became great friends, despite the huge age difference. Coldfoot became very accustomed to the elders from his apprentice days, so they enjoyed his prescence, too, although they always told him to not be bothering with them, but instead go on a patrol.
Coldfoot didn't obey their orders until Fiercehook died with greencough. Coldfoot mourned loudly at the vigil and agreed that he should focus more on his warrior duties. He became more social with the other warriors and made many friends and made a strong bond with Sunstep. The two cats often went on patrol together and would always joke around.
WindClan was quiet less for a few border quarrels and new kits. Sunstep soon retired to an elder admirably. Coldfoot soon received his first apprentice, Sheerpaw. He made her spend the first moon of her training only with the elders, which made some of the elders laugh with the memories of Coldpaw. Sheerpaw, though, complained to everyone, which aggravated Coldfoot. No one complied with her, though, for Coldfoot had had worse.
Coldfoot and Sheerpaw fought in a battle with ShadowClan when she was twelve moons old, which made Coldfoot realize she was ready to be a warrior. She received the name Sheersong and was close friends with Coldfoot.
On a patrol around RiverClan one morning, Sheersong fell into the river and died instantly. Coldfoot mourned for his previous apprentice and good friend and it took him a moon to get back to normal. Once he was normal once more, he defended his clan tooth and claw even more so.
Once on a patrol with the previous deputy of the clan, they were ambushed by ShadowClan cats. It was two against five, and help came late. The deputy died in the paws of a senior ShadowClan warrior. Coldfoot blinded the cat for revenge, having the head of the ambush call for their retreat. Coldfoot receive a scar on his right flank from the battle, but it's covered by his fur.
Once back in camp, the clan's leader mourned for their deputy. The leader soon went back to their den and pondered about the new deputy. Coldfoot was quiet, thinking about the battle and when his leader came forth for the announcement of the new deputy, he wasn't paying attention... until he heard his name called.
Coldfoot was the new deputy of WindClan.
