Deputy? Her? Silver blue eyes looked to the ground as she sat near the edge of the camp. No, this seemingly proud looking she-cat was not secluding herself. No. She was watching, she needed to watch the cats that were currently here. Yes she could speak to them like a normal deputy would, but she was content with just watching. This seemed horribly ironic that she was chosen for being deputy, not long after arriving. Her eyes narrowed, could it be that this leader… Claystar only chose her for how she looked? A small sigh escaped her as she shook her head. No that could not be it, to her Claystar seemed to be an admirable leader, kind yet he knew how to deal with his warriors. But she could not but think the former.
Cats in her old clan, the males looked at her like she was meant to be played with. But she would quickly let them know that was not what she was for. She was strong minded and she had a quick commanding tongue, which to her pleasure they followed as soon as she was finished speaking. But she could always feel their eyes. But here the feeling was gone, all that was left was her old paranoia. Her ears twitched, it was now sun high and the sun was hot, the silver she-cat slowly stood and made her way to the shade. The shade was cool and it felt nice against her pelt.
This clan, it was so similar to her old clan that it was almost painful. She could almost see her mother coming out of the leader’s den with a smile upon her muzzle, telling her to do something the deputy would do. Like get together a hunting party or a border patrol, but only if the deputy was busy. Even he would ask her to do these things. Another sigh escaped her as her eyes darkened slightly, but they soon brightened up a bit. This was her home now and she had things to do. The she cat stood once more and stretched out, and her paws carried across the camp.
She was heading to the leader’s den, if he was in there she would not know. But she wished to speak to him, and she was curious to why she was chosen… of course that will have to wait until other things needed to be said, she has no spoken to him since she was made deputy. The female walked to the entrance of the den and called quietly, politely. ”Claystar?” she called her voice smooth as silk, but it held a serious note. The she-cat waited for a reply, her eyes glancing over the camp once more, for any signs of him in case he was not in here.
(( Ooc: Hmm This is all I could think of for now, but it will give time for ze leader and ze deputy to get to know one another. (: ))

Things had changed so much. It wasn't long ago that he was deputy. It had been less than a moon since Trickstar's death, and thus far, only Spellstar knew what had happened. Claystar still had not made the journey to commune with StarClan, though, now that the clan was stabilizing, he might.
Despite the fact that he was in his den, he automatically looked toward the sky. Toward Silverpelt. Toward Trickstar's end, he had practically already been leader in everything but name, but now that he was a leader in name as well... it seemed so different. While Trickstar would always be his friend, and he hoped she would watch him from Silverpelt and grant him a life when he made his journey, he couldn't help but feel as though she had given him little to work with. She'd left the clan in ruin, albeit, it wasn't all her fault.
ThunderClan was so small. Smaller than it had been in a long time. Illness and weather and an increase in rogue cats had caused their numbers to dwindle ever smaller. All of the cats in the clan were helplessly young-- himself included. The oldest cat around was Shatteredeye, who was only thirty-nine moons. Unfortunately, the small tom was damaged and couldn't be made a deputy. He'd had little left to choose from. Whitetip, the eighteen moon show-boat, and fifteen moon Runningmask, who seemed to have split personalities. So, when they had discovered an older cat, clanless, but knowledgable of the warrior way of life, he had accepted her into the clan.
There were multiple reasons for this decision, though it did not go over well. The first being, apart from Claystar himself, there were only four other cats in the clan. Three warriors and one sickly apprentince.
The second was that he had no cat suitible to be deputy. If Silverrain had not come, he would have had to appoint Shatteredeye... and then what would have happened when Claystar died? ThunderClan would not have survived with a stunted cat in command. So, upon learning that she knew of the warrior code and was experienced, he had made her his deputy. He had heard the tales of betrayal, and knew they ran in the history of ThunderClan and reached all the way back to the time of Bluestar. It was risky, and dangerous-- especially with him lacking the nine lives of a leader. But what was he to do? He'd just have to be careful, and make sure that she was trustworthy. He'd have to make sure that she was capable of being a ThunderClan cat, and that she would not betray them. He'd have to make sure he didn't die prematurely, as well.
There was one other reason why he had accepted her into the clan, though it sickened him to admit it. Silverrain was female, and they'd need more cats in the clan if they wanted to survive. Currently, the only other she-cat was Moonpaw, who, though Greenleaf was begining to take effect, was still sickly. Claystar would not pressure Silverrain into choosing a mate, but he hoped she would. She could easily have any of the cats in the clan for her own, she was so lovely. He only felt sorry that she had so little of a choice.
He sighed, and let his head rest on his paws, angled just right so that his splintered teeth didn't dig uncomfortably into his gums. There was so much to worry about, right now. Atleast prey was getting easier to find. What wasn't getting easier to find was Clan cats. Her hoped that the other clans would not use the small number of cats as leverage or an oppourtunity to attack. There was sure to be a gathering soon, and ThunderClan would put on a strong front.
He closed his eyes, and allowed his thoughts to drift on various subjects-- not really thinking or dreaming. Just resting. But a soft voice interrupted him, and he lifted his head. It sounded almost like Trickstar, though he knew it wasn't possible. It had to be Silverrain. There was no one else in the clan who would have such a feminine voice, and Moonpaw wouldn't have the nerve to address him in his den.
"Come in." He responded in a lovely tenor voice, tinged with warmth. He should have expected this, though, really, he didn't know if he could trust her in his den. He allowed himself to bring himself upwards into sitting position, so that if she did decide to attack him it would be more difficult. If she decided she would take him, he'd show he what ThunderClan was about. [/blockquote]

It took a moment for the other to reply, maybe her leader was hesitant having her, a new clan member and new deputy, in his den. Well it was to be expected, she was not from this area and she was only newly appointed. She sighed and shook out her pelt, leaving her face emotionless as ever, emotions were weak in a way and she rarely used them… no she rarely showed them. She was a female after all emotions are what run this species. Claystar’s voice was warm, and soft so she walked in a little hesitant but she lifted her head a little higher to show that she was not nervous… but she was showing no disrespect towards the clan leader.
Trust.
When it came to trust, Silverrain was one that any cat could trust, she is loyal until the end. She will do anything for her clan, even if it seems as if her leader has lost it. She puts her clan first, she always has and always will. Although she is new to this clan she herself chose to stay when she could have fled. She knew what she was getting herself back into, and although she resented StarClan, she felt at ease knowing that her decision was accepted by StarClan themselves. But Silverrain was one who had a hard time trusting others, though it may seem that she trusts them. Males she has a hard time with, mostly because she thinks they think about only one thing. But she will eventually have to let that fear go, she will not be used here and it seems she is not being used solely for her ‘beauty’.
”Thank you Claystar,” she replied seating herself down just a foot or so inside the den. She did not want to make the tom nervous… and plus she felt better to have some distance between them. ”I first would like to thank you for allowing me to stay in ThunderClan. It is an honour, especially granted the title of Deputy.” The she-cat inclined her head to the leader in thanks, her silver blue tinged eyes closed for a moment. She was trying to show him that she was not going to attack the leader, by putting herself at ease, hoping to ease the tom as well. But of course this ‘trust’ issue took time, and she knows that she herself will have to learn to trust the cats in this clan.
”Second,” she continued after a moment. Silverrain was one to get down to business, but if the other wished to elaborate then she did not mind straying off topic. She wanted to make a good impression. ”I recognize that I have only just been granted acceptance here, but I am interested in the state of this clan. History for example, I would love to know about the background here, as well as what state you are in. How many lives have you left?” she paused looking to the ground for a moment. ”Of course, you can choose whether to disclose this information. But I would like you to know that I am completely trustworthy, I put the clan first. I chose to come here so I know what I have gotten myself in once again. The clan always comes first, as well as the leader’s orders.” her voice was soft, yet it seemed slightly robotic… but there was truth to her words and they could be heard. She can keep the emotions off her face, but she could not always hide them in her voice.
Sucking up? No, this was not her intention. She was only making her intentions clear, hoping to gain the trust of this leader, and as well hopefully learn from him as well. If he were to ask her a question about her life, she will tell it, hesitantly… but it will be said. Silverrain lifted her gaze from the den floor back to the molten amber pools of her leader. Loss, anger, and determination were the emotions that pooled in her silver blue eyes and they will remain until she has healed.

Claystar flicked his tail as she entered-- not in irritation or any negative aspect, but merely because that's what he had a penchant to do when waiting. He was going out on a limb, trusting her to enter his den when he had but one life. Though she was deputy, he did not have to trust her entirely yet. She was, after all, a stranger.
Ragged whiskers twitching, he listened to the silver she-cat-- not suprised, and somewhat glad that she had chosen to ask these questions. They were, to a new addition, important. The history of the clan. The state of the clan. The state of the leader. All important, and while he wouldn't normally disclose this information, he had to get used to the concept of trusting this strange and enchanting feline.
"Good questions, all of them." It was hard for him to think of her as his senior in age, but then again, Claystar seemed much older than his extrordinarily young age. His silvered face combined with the complexities surrounding leadership did nothing to help the situation-- but perhaps it was better he seemed older.
"ThunderClan has a proud history, but not one that hasn't been touched by shame. The forest clan has had some of the bravest and most influential leaders, like Bluestar and Firestar." At this, he paused. Firestar had been a kittypet that was accepted into the clan-- and he had been, arguably, the greatest leader in ThunderClan history; his nephew, Cloudtail, had been one of the greatest warriors. And he had also been a kittypet. Yellowfang, a past medicine cat, had been of another clan. Perhaps accepting Silverrain wasn't unprecidented. "It has also had one of the biggest traitors."
"There are, actually, four clans here. ThunderClan, the forest cats, RiverClan, the river cats, ShadowClan, the swamp cats, and WindClan, the moor cats. We defend our territories against each other, but once a month we have a gathering where cats from each clan go to share news, including both the leader and the deputy." This would be long winded, the small, colourpoint tom was sure.
And now, for the delicate part. "Our clan is almost non existent. Illness and an increase in rogue cats has caused our numbers to dwindle. Yourself included, there are six cats in our clan. Two young warriors, a senior warrior though he has brain damage, a sickly apprentince, and the two of us."
His amber gaze remained upon her, proud and almost challenging her to to say something that could be considered offensive. Until he knew what she would say to this, he would not reveal his status with StarClan to her. [/blockquote]

The silver warrior inclined her head to show her thanks to his initial compliment after hearing her out. It was much appreciated that he was allowing her to speak even though he noticeably did not trust her yet… revealing the clan’s secrets… that was information that she would take to heart, and keep it there. As the male was speaking Silverrain held still, her eyes never wavered from his face her stance was neutral and she did not fidget. Silverrain was one who took her job seriously, if there was no formalities what was the point? She placed the names he had given and placed them at the back of her mind, letting them mull over. Locking them up and keeping them there. Finally a small amount of expression was shown, her eyes lit up curiously when the male had brought up a gathering with the other three clans. This was something she had never heard of before and it was a good idea. A truce once every full moon. She had a couple of questions, confused. But she would wait until the tom was finished speaking.
And the delicate part indeed. Her silver, blue eyes saddened over the news over the clan. Although numbers were important, members… no matter the state of the cat… they still made the clan great. And although he was speaking of ill news there was a good amount of pride in his voice and her head rose a little higher, not challenging but also in a proud manner. This was her clan no matter the state, and she was willing to do her job wisely, responsibly and proudly.
The leader finished speaking and Silverrain caught the challenge in his amber eyes and she nodded, a small smile crawled its way onto her lips, warm, knowing. But it only just touched her eyes… there was still too much numbness for emotion to shine fully in them once again. But she was trying. ”And a fine clan you have, Claystar. Though you do not trust me yet, I am proud to be Deputy here.” she replied with another respectful incline of her head, but this time it was lower than the normal acknowledging ones she had been doing. ”I thank you leader for informing me of such things… it must be difficult for you to reveal such things that would be dangerous in the paws of other clans. I appreciate it.” The tom did not even speak of how his state was, and she did not make any indication that he should speak of it. She knew about trust issues and… it would be a touchy subject.
Silverrain looked around the den for a fraction of a second, not knowing what else to say. If he did not have anything else to reveal to her than she should be on her way. ”That is all I needed to know, thank you Claystar, again I appreciate you speaking of the things you did. I hope to someday gain your trust.” she spoke and waiting her him to dismiss her. IF he had nothing else to say. The wind creeped its way into the den, and ruffed the dark silver fur of the beautiful she-cat. Her thoughts travelled over where she would find a mate, she wanted to make this clan more… plentiful and her bloodline was strong. She did not care which cat as long as his intentions were the same. To provide for the clan.
(ooc: I am SO sorry… I have been over loading my self…. I need to learn how to prioritize…. I apologize… I am still quite willing to continue here ))
