Shockwave sat on the edge of the falls. The sound of the swift current below didn't phase him, even though the sound was extremely loud. He let out quiet sigh, thinking of all of the cats that had their lives cut short due to a fall down the cliff. If they survived the drop, they would only be met by rushing water, drowning them almost instantly. It would be a very unpleasant way to go. Of course, the occasion was very rare. One almost never heard of the cat who drowned in the falls.
The warrior turned his thoughts of the WindClan she-cat he had messed with the other day. It was very entertaining for himself, though not so much for her. Shockwave smiled at the thought of the horrors she may have after the fact. An average apprentice was usually not prepared for the mental stress of being seduced by the enemy. He was well aware of how scary he might seem to an apprentice who had never seen his fake personality.
Ah yes, the fake personality. Everyone in RiverClan knew him as the happy-go-lucky tom who stuck to the rules and always had a smile of his face. But that was nothing like Shockwave. However, if RiverClan cats knew how he really was, well, then he'd never get to go through with his plans.
He sighed again, and stretched. The tom had been sitting there for quite some time. His golden fur glittered in the sun light. Shockwave hadn't really noticed how nice of a day it was. The sun was shining warmly, there was a gentle breeze, everything seemed calm. For once, everything seemed at peace in the forest.

Today was a fine, bright day. The warmth seeped into Taintedsoul's pelt, making her feel welcomed. Her muzzle waved in the air, inhaling the small breeze that she could barely feel. The she-cat didn't have a clue where her petite paws were carrying here, nor did she care. She was feeling optimistic about this day and no one or thing was about to ruin it. A riverclan cat's scent invaded her nose. The stench of foul fish filled her mouth, making her stomach rumble and nausious. But along with it was a tange of...something else. Perhaps, it was pride? Pride. Taintedsoul had never felt pride before. She always thought that trait only suited Shadowclan. The black cat looked foward, her eyes concentrating on the figure sitting by the waterfall. Of course. It was a Riverclan cat, just enjoying the waterfall. Maybe she could bring up a conversation with him. She enjoyed playing with minds, after all. Taintedsoul leaped onto a low tree branch, and gracefully landed on the edge of the grassy plains.
"Why, what a nice day it is. What may bring you here on such a...bright day?". This was to be an interesting conversation. She could feel it in her guts.
She silently observed the Riverclan tom. He seemed different than the others;; whom are all sickingly kind. It always disgusted her to see cats helping others with a warm smile on their faces. His pelt was also interesting. One ear was flopped, and his pelt was a bold, gold color with a slate-colored zig-zag line down his back. He looked quite older than her...but then again, was there a rule she could not talk to him? His eyes gleamed with a cheerful motto, but somewhat of an ambition. Who was she to judge? Perhaps he could just be another of those boring, cheerful cats. Or maybe he was one of those more intruiging, evil cats, like Taintedsoul. Her eyes where attracted to one of his legs. It seemed...different than the others. Maybe she was just imagining it. Not like she was one to be picky. Her tail flicked curiously, and her head tilted. The notch in her ear was slightly burning, most likely from the heat. No matter. This conversation mattered much more than her itty-bitty pain in her ear.

Of course. A cat to ruin his fun.
Shockwave cocked his head slightly to one side, closing his eyes and putting on a welcoming grin. To almost any cat, it would seem so warm and friendly, but to the cats with out of the ordinary intelligence, it would seem so shallow and deceiving. He opened his yellow eyes to take in her appearance. His sights were immediately taken to the splotches of color on her pelt that seemed... Out of place, perhaps. The warrior also noted a nick in her left ear. Or was it? It was rather hard to see from across the falls.
"My legs brought me here. Or... Oh, wait, you must be asking why I'm here. That's a different matter." Shockwave's grin turned into a sly smile. That was a perfect way to avoid asking a question. A small tinge of pain came from his twisted leg, and he pulled it closer to him slightly, just enough so that no one was likely to notice.
Shockwave's smiled faded a bit. There was something different about the she-cat. It seemed as if she shared the same sort of lifestyle as himself. Wearing a mask, corrupting cats, seduction... Or maybe not. Maybe she just wasn't as foolish as most of the scrawny, wind-blown cats that inhabited her Clan. Not like the apprentice he had messed with earlier. This she-cat seemed so devious, so cunning. He didn't want to conclude an evil purpose inside her... No, that would be too blunt. That would be like calling himself evil.

Taintedsoul licked her paw. "It doesn't really matter anymore. I'd hate to be asking to much questions." Of course, if she asked too much questions, it would make her feel...extraordinarily stupid? She didn't need questions, anyway. It was quite simple;; she could figure it out herself. If she really wanted to know more about this tom...then, she'd have her sources. But really, why would he have come? Most likely just to enjoy the waterfall. Of course. Perhaps she was wrong, maybe he came to fool around with little weak minds, like the apprentices back at camp. She had witnessed Snowpaw not acting like herself lately. Not like she cared. That apprentice was just too nice to be cared for. She was just another sprouting flower, whom would wither and die soon enough. Taintedsoul's whiskers twitched in amusement. That would be a scene she would give up a meal to watch.
"Why, I wish we could be...somewhat closer. I can barely see you on the other side." Taintedsoul purred softly. It would be harder to seduce him if he couldn't see her actions, or even clearly hear her over the rushing water.
Her eyes flickered from here to there. It was quite boring if she looked in the same spot the whole time. Then again, it would be rude to the other cat. Oh well. Her own pleasure counted more than his. A mouse scuttled past her, which she ignored. A mouse wouldn't ruin her fun moment of the day. She slightly lifted an eyebrow. Was it just her, or was this tom...a little odd? Different. Difference was good;; like her mother always said. It's boring if everyone's the same. Which is quite the situation in the forest. Everyone's all nice, and caring. One word-disgusting. Something should be happening in the forest. Something evil, or unpredicted. That would be very interesting. A band of evil cats raiding the forest. Not like that would ever happen. The leaders were just too cunning. It was close to impossible to get past them. It's the deputy's that are clueless. Always boasting their power, never taking the time to actually think about what's happening in the forest. It's quite ridiculous, actually. And sometimes it seems that the clan cats actually look up to them. Ha. It would be a very nice life to do nothing and be praised. But no, not in this forest. That's why Taintedsoul has to demolish it. Take over;; start a new world. Make it the way it should be.

Shockwave flicked his flopped ear. Was she implying that he cross the falls? That was stupid. If the she-cat was so sure of herself, she could cross.
"Oh, really? That's too bad. I can see you perfectly from over here." That's right. Her little trick wasn't going to fool Shockwave. He knew that in order to do things in a non-violent way, he would have to keep her on the bad end of the conversation. In order to keep his record, Shockwave had two choices. He could either seduce her, or make her seem like a complete mouse-brain. Either way, he won the verbal war.
Shockwave kept his yellow gaze locked on the other warrior, trying to find signs of a weakening mind. At this rate, they were going to get no where. This wasn't like the usual prey, with small, weak minds and over a thousand weak points to target. But, so far, he hadn't heard or seen anything from her that he could attack. Perhaps he could pick on a subject that was tender for most cats... Lineage. Of course. "I've never seen you at a Gathering before... " he mewed carefully. " I might know your parents, if you'd be kind enough to provide some names."

Taintedsoul chuckled. "Parents? My parents are long gone. And i'd like to keep it that way." She never knew or heard of her father. He's like a complete mystery to her. One she's not interested in in any way.
"And it's not like I asked for their names." The she-cat hesitated, before continuing. "I was too much of a fool, a sickingly kind cat."
She had just mentally scratched herself. That answer was quite risky. It was obvious now that she had no intentions to just have a normal, little chat about how nice the day is. If this tom was one of those kind cats, she had just made herself a suspicious target. She shouldn't have said that. Taintedsoul was now vulnerable like a mouse in the middle of nowhere. Foxdung, she sputtered to herself. Why, she was quite a fool now. She was never one to be the winner of verbal competitions. Perhaps the tom wouldn't notice, if she just acted normal. Then again, she'd be a mouse-brain for thinking that. There was no way out of this now. The only thing to do now was get beaten like a whelping kit. Unless of course, he took that in, in a...different manner. Which was quite possible. Either way, she was wide open for attacks. Taintedsoul wasn't one to be mentally strong, either. After all, she had never been abused or anything like that. Everyone had been kind to her, and so her mind grew mushy and weak. Stupid clanmates. The she-cat sighed, her mind twirling with possible outcomes.

Bingo.
There were so many targets to choose from now. This cocky she-cat was going down, one way or another. Shockwave smiled, coming up with a small arsenal of words to throw out there. "You were a fool? A sickeningly kind cat? Really? I couldn't tell," he mewed loudly in the most sarcastic way possible. "You know what they say; you can train a mouse to be a warrior but it'd go right back the way it was before it ate it's own kind. " That was a saying Spellstar had used once. Shockwave had intentions to use it against the mentally distracted leader as he killed him. At that moment, the golden warrior realized a hidden meaning in what she said. " You are too kind at heart to feel real power, foolish cat. Your mind has become weak, your life is too easy, and you are too kind." Shockwave stood up to leave, feeling as though he could leave her with enough to think about, but quickly sat down again, pain coming from his leg. ' Ah, mouse dung. I can't let her see me in pain, not when I beat her at her own game...' The warrior winced a bit, glad that the WindClanner was across the fall and probably wouldn't be able to see him in pain.

Taintedsoul stayed put. She was used to getting snickered from her mother's friend, after all. All the time, she was sworn at and beaten. She sighed, about to get up to leave, at the same time the Riverclanner did. But she noticed something. His leg. He was wincing, and obviously there was something wrong with it. It's not like Taintedsoul had good eyesight. It was just so visible, it was quite hard to miss. "Having trouble with your leg, I see. It must be hard work for a warrior with a leg gone bad. That's just too bad...If your leg wasn't limping you might have been a great warrior", she mewed calmly, yet loud enough to hear clearly. "That wound, my friend, can never be healed by even a true medicine cat." "We all have weaknesses, Riverclanner. And we learn to live with it. We bear the fact that somethings can never happen. It's called reality, kit." The she-cat smiled, and slipped away into the darkness. And in my situation, I can never rule the forest.

Shockwave let out a short sigh. Of course. It was obvious that he was injured. But, although he was in terrible health, the warrior did have something that the foreign she-cat did not. Although she had disappeared from view, he knew that the WindClanner couldn't have gone far.
"Yes, you're right, I do have a little issue concerning my leg, and you seem to in perfect health. But I happen to have a few things that you will never have. Untainted respect and followers," the tom mewed, and almost sadistic looking smile appearing on his face. "And if you ever want a taste of true power, then you had better get some, because when I'm in control, you'll be one of the first to go. " At this point, Shockwave figured he had nothing to lose. He had figured early on that she had some ambitious goal, and sharing his own was definitely a good way to gain another follower. " I'll have you killed, unless, of course, you join the winning side. Hm?" ooc:// Meh, I has to go, so I'm cutting it short.

ooc:// okey dokey smokey. Taintedsoul's paws stopped arubtly. Join him? Tch. I don't need him. I dont' care if he kills me. A follower? Ha! I'd rather make my own little group. If I didn't have a high position, i'd just be pushed around. Hm. The she-cat pushed herself I little foward. "I'd rather not, but thank you for your...kindness. I'm sorry, if I don't have high authority I would go nuts. So, good-bye. And I know you wouldn't give a high position to me because that wouldn't exactly be fair to the the others that joined before me. She waved her tail and began trotting quite slowly. If he said anything else, she'd have to hear, wouldn't she? Of course, she knew what he'd say next wouldn't exactly be 'nice'. She knew she'd hear him say, "Then that's too bad," or "Then I shall meet your throat with my claws" or whatever. At least it was a good way to waste time. It's not like she had anything else to do when she got back, except playing with minds. Which could be entertaining, sometimes. ooc:// sorry, writer's block. I can't think of what else to say.

Shockwave smiled slightly. He closed his eyes and let out a loud, short sigh. "Oh well. I guess I'll find some other cat to surpass me when I die..." For the moment, that was just to get the warrior to consider his offer. But, that was probably a good idea... Yes, make the WindClanner his successor. Even though Seekwing had not said it, the warrior knew very well that the extent of his injury was much worse than it appeared. Shockwave was well aware that it would be the death of him.
As if to prove the point, the gold and gray tom stood, shifting his weight off of his twisted leg. Even if the foreign she-cat were to decline his offer, something told Shockwave that he'd see her again. After all, he knew that most cats these days didn't need more then a little nudge to be on his side. Who didn't want power? On top of that, young cats were easily swayed, for he promised that after they took over, there would be no war. That was true, technically. After all four Clans were being controlled by a single leader, then there was no possible way a war could break out.
