Other Accounts: Claystar, Ghostface, and Metalpaw!
Name: Sagestorm
Age (in moons): 24 Moons.
Clan: WindClan.
Rank: Warrior.
Gender: She-cat.
Appearance:
Sagestorm is a she-cat that flirts on the borderline of average and small. It is obvious that she is full grown, but of the mature cats that reside in the ranks of WindClan, she is, if not the smallest, very close to it. Her body is short and thin, and, though she has the slight build of a moor cat, she packs the muscle and punch of a ThunderClan cat.
She has thin but downy mid-length fur, that is a deep, chocolate brown. Her fur is so dark that in the shade it appears as though she is conjured from the shadows herself. This attribute would make her an excellent spy if she wasn't so completely clumsy. To the touch, her fur is soft and cottony, but not silky. It's like the fluff of of a cattail at the end of summer, only not quite so poetic.
Her eyes are piercing, not in colour, but, rather, in depth. Though her eyes are the cliche pale yellow-green attributed to a variety of cats, Sagestorms's eyes seem to play judge and jury to everyone. However, this is not the case. She is easy going, and definitely does not play the judge and jury to anyone, especially since she herself has yet to prove herself an asset to the clan. However, they are somewhat startling to a strange cat who has never seen them before, and tey tend to put other cats on guard.
Her claws are thin, and delicately curved, though, there is no doubt that they could inflict serious damage. They are a pale colour that verges on white and clear in a cloudy way, that is very near opaque. Her paws, like the rest of her, are delicate and dainty in appearance, though, unlike some she-cats, she isn't afraid to get them dirty.
Sagestorm's tail is thin and vine like, and even when she carries it straight up in the air, it blends in well with the heather and gorse. She tends to swish her tail back and forth a good deal, as if to keep her busy or just so that she is always moving.
The she-cat's whiskers are extrordinarily long, and curl ever so slightly at the edges. Like her claws, they are white, which work in a strange natural contrast to her coat.
Personality:
Sagestorm's main goal is to prove herself an asset to her clan. She knows she is not the smartest, nor the swiftest, nor the strongest cat in WindClan, but she just wants to prove that she is worth something.
Sagestorm is a fairly easy going cat, who is fascinated with games and the lore of old. She is often chastised and called a kit, which truly does hurt her feelings. Though she has trained as a warrior, and completes her duties with enthusiasm and vigor, she is often considered emotionally weak, because she cannot take an insult that is directed her way. Sometimes she struggles through comebacks, but most of the time, she rolls over in submission.
Though Sagestorm is an emotional cat, she will not hesitate to defend her clan or her territory. However, she is never the instigator of the attack, for fear that they may punnish her. Sagestorm's limitted speed has hindered her skill as a hunter, and so she does her best to throw herself into border patrols and cleaning up the camp.
Most cats in the clan are impartial to her, though she does her best to be friendly to everyone. Nearly all of the rest of WindClan find her awkward to be around, which leaves her sort of off to the side. While they will not hesitate to call for her aid if they truly need it, other cats prefer to choose other warriors to accompany them.
As a side note, Sagestorm loves kits and looks forward to the day which she has her own, if ever a day arrives.
History:
Sagekit was born in the WindClan nursery with two siblings to a young, and strong queen. Her father, too, was young and strong, and it was expected that their kits be good prospects for future warriors.
The kits, Sagekit, Hollowkit, and Doekit were all healthy, beautiful kits, and were much admired by the cats of the clan. They outshone the other kits in the nursery, and, regretably, some of the apprentinces. But within the three kits, some outshone the others as well.
Hollowkit was the only tom in the litter, and he was strong, healthy, and demanding. Not only was he first born, but he was the largest (and, according to Sagestorm, the meanest) if the kits. He was a natural manx, and many felt that he had a greatest future planned.
Doekit was, like her namesake, soft spoken and gentle. She was kind and healthy, but always made her stand. Her was large, like her brother, and consistently held her own against Hollowkit.
Finally, was Sagekit. Sagekit was smaller, and though she was healthy, she didn't sparkle like her siblings. She was always kind of brushed to the side, being the runt. In mock fights, she always lost, or gave up, which didn't help for others to like her.
Eventually, they became apprentices together. Hollowpaw was apprenticed to the leader himself, and Doepaw to the deputy. Sagepaw was apprentinced to none other than her father, who, though young still, was kind and easy going.
Sagepaw proved herself an energenic apprentice, filled with the will to learn. She was astute with listening, though, in the tall grass, she was not the greatest hunter around.
Hunting, however, was not her only weakness. True to her kithood, she was not an able fighter. Not because she can't be, but because she doesn't like it. Though she would defend her clan with her life, she finds fighting pointless, and is glad that (up to this point) the other cats have remained oblivious to their existence, and there have been no battles.
Near the time the apprentinces were to be made warriors, tragedy struck. The dog near WindClan attacked a hunting patrol, that consisted of Doepaw, Sagepaw, Hollowpaw, and their father, and another warrior.
The ensuing battle was awful, and bloody. Five cats, three of which were still apprentinces, against a small patrol of wolves (four) did not have a chance. All of the cats fought like StarClan possessed, and, in the din, Sagepaw was flung by one of the wolves away, and she escaped to get help from the clan. Her speed, which had always been low compared to others, was not enough, and by the time they returned, all of the other cats were dead.
This severely effected Sagepaw, who had always been more emotional than others. But she did trust in the warrior code, and if the warrior code taught anything, it taught that life goes on, and so must you. So she did.
Shortly after the insident, Sagepaw became Sagestorm, and sat vigil not only for herself, but for her brother and sister. She has been a warrior only for a few moons, but still they treat her as if she isn't there. She is determined to fix that.
