Sorry I kinda spaced out there for a while :3 I never have gotten around to this....BLEH
Okay...
Ashwind picked her way through the dense weeds near a small stream, keeping her scent open for any source of bennet. Not only did the herb help with any bladder problems, but there was a slight gum problem with one of the elders, and the medicine cat hadn't thought of keeping a very good stock. Her curious eyes peered through tall blades of grass and brush, while her mind was at work. It hadn't been that long since her mentor had left her, and even though she was certain that she knew what she was doing, she couldn't help but feel a pang of anxiety. Not many medicine cats managed to mess up, but something told her that she would more than likely be one of them. She was naturally a klutz, and sometimes that had something to do with her whole duty to the Clan.
Suddenly a strong scent seemed to kick Ashwind right in the nose, bringing her back to reality. The star-shaped and yellow figure of bennet was right in front of her, and with a little purr of happiness she carefully detached the flower from the stem. It seemed that StarClan might just be on her side today. But what was she thinking? The warrior ancestors were always watching, even if it was unexpected. With the plant softly in her jaws, she crept foward a bit more, discovering another root, which she decapitated easily. The taste was simply unbearable, and she was tempted to spit it all out, but the determination to help the elders was simply overtaking. Besides, what sort of medicine cat would she be to deny a cat healing? The aroma of prey, more than likely a mouse, soon made its way to her nose as she began to pad back to camp. She was full and the camp was well supplied, so she concentrated on the smell more than the taste of bennet. Sometimes, life wasn't all that bad, right? [/size]
